Sunday August 3rd 2003 Becks stays in his Tokyo hotel as team mates go out on the town in the red-light Rappongi district.
Monday August 4th 2003
Training was postponed for seven hours as many players were late in from the night before. During training Becks was hit in the face by an elbow from Raul Bravo.
Victoria attends the Dior Dance in aid of the Aaliyah memorial Fund in Los Angeles.
Wednesday August 6th
Becks goes out with team mates but returns to the hotel sober, after two glasses of champagne, and early unlike others, who went on to drink exotic cocktails and smoke £30 cigars. In particular, Figo and Carlos were noticed to be rather unsteady on their feet.
About Beckham, bar owner Franck Crouvezier said:"He was noticeably careful and did'nt look like he wanted to get drunk. David Beckham turned to cokes, the others drank £8 cocktails".
Posh flys into Heathrow with their sons after recording her second album in the States with top hip-hop producer Damon Dash. Victoria's mother-in-law, Sandra, looked after the kids while Posh worked in the studio.
Thursday August 7th
Apparently the Daily Mirror newspaper arranged for a meal of pie, mash and parsley gravy to be delivered to Becks' bedroom in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong. This was his favourite meal and was bought from the only hotel in Hong Kong that could supply it.
30,000 watched training at the Hong Kong Stadium where fans tried to evade security to get to Beckham. Two succeeded and got autographs and shook hands with Becks.
Sunday August 10th
Beckham is reported to be in the process of being offered a £100 million lifetime sponsorship agreeement with adidas. This would put Becks ahead of golfer Tiger Woods, basketball player Michael Jordan and tennis player Venus Williams.
Adidias's global football executive Thomas van Schalk, said: "David beckham is the most popular athlete ever."
It seem that Becks will get an immediate small payment of £50 million. and a percentage of sales from sportswear and PR work. They also hope to use David Beckham when he retires.
Wednesday August 13th
The Beckhams move into a £1,000 a night suite at the five-star Santo Mauro hotel in the city centre while they continue their search for a suitable property.
Amusingly Victoria tried to climb in the wrong side of Becks' Range Rover; it was a left-hand drive. She stopped when she saw the steering wheel.
Wednesday August 28th
Becks heads a goal from Ronaldo's cross in the 72nd minute in Real Madrid's 3-0 Spanish Super Cup win over Real Mallorca. This gave them the cup with a 4-2 aggregate scoreline over the two games.
Becks said: "It couldn't get any better than that for a debut. I felt comforatble as soon as I walked onto the pitch. The crowd were great with me and the players are great as well. Its nice to be accepted and welcomed, as well as I have been."
Saturday August 30th
Becks has a dream start for Real Madrid at the Bernabeu stadium by scoring from close rangeafter just 126 seconds in a 2-1 win over Real Betis. He tapped home the goal from three yards following a cross from Ronaldo and he later returned the compliment by assisting in Ronaldo's goal.
A 65,000 crowd saw his exceptional work rate, precise passing and exciting shooting. He hit the bar from 30 yards. Not a bad league debut. And the second half was held up by regular sports streaker, Mark Roberts, who had a pair of 'Golden Balls' hanging between his legs!
Becks and Posh paid for twenty close relatives and friends to join them in the five-star Santo Mauro hotel.
Sunday August 31st
A party is thrown for Romeo's first birthday at the Santo Mauro hotel with both Romeo and Brooklyn wearing number 23 Real Madrid shirts.
Later in the day, Victoria Beckham's sister, Louise Adams, is involved in a car crash. It appears she was used as a decoy for photographers as a group of twenty aimed to go for a burger. She was in the £55,000 black Porsche with two security guards when it went out of control as the paparazzi chased after her. Fortunately, although badly shaken, she didn't need hospital treatment.
