The England captain reveals that he is the butt of jokes form his team mates following his OBE award. He said "Some of the players have got mixed up and are all calling me 'Sir', 'Your Majesty' and 'Your Highness' and bowing at my feet. So its all been quite funny".

Channel 4 rubbish reports that Victoria Beckham will deliver an alternative Christmas message. A newspaper had claimed that Beck's wife would use the speech to describe their move to Spain.

David Beckham was all smiles after Real Madrid's 2-1 victory over rivals Barcelona. "I always like to play on the Nou Camp's field and I enjoy taking part in big matches like this one," Beckham told the Spanish press after the game. "I'm happy to debut with a win in this rivalry especially because Barcelona are very strong at home." Beckham also assured the media that he will be playing in Real Madrid's next game against FC Porto in the Champions League. "I feel good and I will play in the next match," he said.

After yesterday's match, asked what he thought of wife Victorias new video- the most sensual yet - the England captain said, "I love it. Victoria's always had that sexy look, she's my wife, but in her new video she's amazing. The two singles are amazing. She deserves credit because she works hard for it."

David Beckham is reported to have signed a £2 million cheque to wash his hands of the agency that has promoted him for the last 10 years. He has created his own company, Footwork Productions, in Madrid and insists that he wants to wind down his promotional work, earning him £20 million a year, and concentarte on football in the run up to Euro 2004.

Mirror Sport reveal that Sven Goran Eriksson sees England skipper David Beckham as a younger brother and insists the move to Madrid has made him a better player. Asked if their relationship was like father and son Eriksson replied: "Maybe. Maybe its big brother, smaller brother."

It is reported that Becks has forked out £3 million on a gift binge to salvage their troubled marriage. Apparently, as well as a £1 million 50ft yacht, he has bought her a £140,000 super-car as a christmas present from Brooklyn and Romeo. That's on top of the £1.5 million diamond ring David gave her last month and another worth £500,000 that she wore at his Buckingham Palace OBE ceremony.
And a BBC survey revels that Posh and Becks are more famous than the Royal Family. David and Victoria have had more newspaper space than the Royals.
