Beckham's dad Ted talked about an emotional reunion with his son in Madrid at the weekend. This comes after they appeared to have drifted apart following his move from United.
Ted said; "Watching David in the Bernabeu I now feel different. He is easily settling into life in Madrid and its only two-and--half hour flight, so I'll be going back as much as possible."

Becks helps Real Madrid gain a point against Villareal in a 1-1 draw and is on the receiving end of two bad fouls from Argentinian Rodolfo Arruabarrena.

Becks travels to UK and spends time with Victoria and sons at their Hertfordshire home.

Becks fears that he might be out of the important England game versus Macedonia on Saturday, folowing a groin strain he got playing for Real Madrid on Tuesday. He missed training and had a light work out in the gym instead.
Friday September 5th 2003
Beckham trains for the first time with the England squad and admits he is preapared to risk playing despite not being 100 per cent fit, and so is the England manager Sven Goran Ericksson.
Becks said "Ideally you'd want to be 100 per cent fit but I still feel I will be able to perform at the highest level".
He is warned by Real Madrid coach Carlos Quieroz not to play unless he is 100 per cent fit.

Man of the match Beckham scores the winning goal for England from the penalty spot in a 2-1 win over Macedonia. Along with other players he faces sanction from the FA as they run over to England fans to celebrate the win - the fans were asked not to travel by the FA. Apparently Becks had a death threat made to him by one of the Macedonian players (Artim Sakiri).
Sakiri said that threatening to 'kill someone' was a common saying in Macedonia, just like in England where every second word is a swear word.

Real Madrid show exactly what they are capable of with a stunning 7-2 home win over Valladolid. After the interval Zidane smashed home Beckham's long range pass for 4-0. The England captain then hand-balled in the penalty area giving a goal chance that was taken by their opponents.

An obsessed Victoria Beckham fan was arrested outside their $4.5million home for repeatedly ringing the bell and threatening the police who had turned up. Roland Geall, 51, had been drinking.

Becks is supposed to have had a night out with a brunette and members of his entourage at the Thai Garden restaurant. They then moved on to the Ananda Nightclub. Some grotty pictures of the supposed couple were printed in a Sunday Tabloid on 28th September.

Posh is escorted her to a champagne reception in London by American rapper Damon Dash to help lauch a range of clothing.
Beckham continued his excellent start to his Real career by making it 2-0 away at Malaga with his first freekick goal for Real with 20 minutes left. Ronaldo's goal came from a Beckham corner and Real went on to win 3-1.

David & Victoria deny that their marriage was in difficulties. However they admitted that the move to Spain had resulted in some frustrations.
The statement said: "Contrary to newspaper reports our marriage is not in crisis. we are extremely happy together as a family. Our only difficulty has been finding a house in Madrid that meets our needs.
Since we first met, our careers have always meant that we've spent time apart. This is no refelection on the strength of our marriage and we are very much enjoying our new life in Spain."
Spanish newspapers claim that Beckham had been with Spanish supermodel Esther Canadas at a nightclub that evening.

It is reported that the Spanish paparazzi are causing massive problems at the five star Santo Mauro hotel where Becks is staying with lots of photographers chasing after him day and night. A bodyguard said that Becks had to brake and swerve suddenly to avoid them.
Becks attends Ronaldo's 27th birthday party at his luxury home in the suburb of Conde de Orgaz. Spanish supermodel Esther Canadas is there and tabloid reports focus on their 'relationship'.

Victoria arrives in Madrid after spending the weekend in London.
David Beckham is substituted 36 minutes into Real Madrid's 3-1 win over River Plate in a tribute match to Alfredo Di Stefano. He appeared to have a calf injury but it was not thought to be serious.

Victoria tells Spanish newspaper ABC that they hven't found a home yet that meets their requirements. "We are continuing to look with patience. It is difficult to find one that we can adpt to our needs. We are adapting but we are very happy here. We like it a lot. It is exactly what I imagined. There have been no surprises."
The Open University reveal that since David Beckham moved to Real Madrid the number of students wanting to learn Spanish has rocketed.
Victoria flys back to London and receives the Most Stylish Female prize at the British style awards.

The Beckham's move to a dream £5million dream home falls through because sewerage pipes were found under the property, and the neighbours told them of terrible smells when they leaked or the wind changed. They now plan to buy a £4.5million home in La Morelaja, near Real's training ground.
Saturday September 27th
Becks hardly gets involved and suffers his worst night to date as Real Madrid crash to a 2-0 defeat away at Valencia. He hobbles off at the end and is told to miss training the next day.
Sunday September 28th
Becks takes Victoria out for a spin in his classic £60,000 red soft-top Aston Martin, shipped over from England.
Becks is reported to have splashed out £1,200 at the Grand Ritz hotel in Madrid for a private meal with Victoria. This included soup, lobster, wild mushroom risotto for Victoria and veal medallions and oven roasted lamb with mustsard for David finished of with a £150 bottle of Dom Perignon. This was in addtion to orchids scattered around the room and scented candles.
Monday September 29th
It is revealed that the brunette Becks was seen with in the Ananda nightclub on September 18th was in fact his personal assistant, Rebecca Loos, who works for the SFX sports agency which represents him.
Tuesday September 30th
David and Victoria enjoy some junk food at Madrid's Hard Rock Cafe. They dressed down in baseball caps, ripped jeans and casual tops at the American diner. They spent £28.65 with a £7 tip.
David had chicken dippers and a bacon cheeseburger with chips. Victoria chose onion rings and a veggie sandwich. Both chose Diet Pepsi.
