What Is An Own Goal?
Why has Quinton Fortune not been given the winning goal against Middlesbrough on Sunday? His shot was on target for the goal and was deflected in. Ruud van Nistelrooy's shot against Spurs the other week might have been on target but was deflected in and he got the goal.
What's the fecking difference. A couple of years ago Ryan Giggs was awarded a goal in the Champions League when his cross (going away from the goal!) was deflected in.
The same season Ole had a shot (that again was going away from goal) deflected in...he didn't get the goal.
Me thinks that the 'Star name' syndrome is at work here.
This is the same effect that results in commentators making no comment when Arsenal's Henry makes a mess of something or even worse...talking about a potential pass of the season when the fecking ball didn't even reach its destination!(Like they did tonight when Arsenal beat a pathetic, gutless Southampton team 1-0.)

The Invisible Man
I've just heard on the radio (so it must be true) that Real Madrid have received offers from Chelsea and United for Louis Figo.
He plays on the right doesn't he? Is Ole now invisible!
However, I must keep faith that Ole will get a game; after the pathetic performance from Forlan yesterday, he must have chance.

The Forgotten Man
According to the press today United are after Mark (I'll play when I feel like it) Viduka, Alan (over the top) Smith, Louis (I's the man) Saha and Jermain (Is it time to get sent off yet)Defoe. I assume they mean one out of the four in order to give United four strikers. (Also assuming you count Forlan as one!)
I fear the great man is going to be messed about again to play on to the right side, as Darren Fletcher is not up to the job.
The great man?...Ole of course. Or should that be the forgotten man.
O ye of little faith, go forth and multiply.
Merry Xmas

Double Standards For Rio And Us All
Rio Ferdinand has been banned 8 months for missing a drugs test. The fine is both irrelevant and pathetic. The important matter is the following factual statement.
Manchester City's Christian Negouai escaped suspension and was fined 20,000 pounds when he missed a drugs test under similar circumstances earlier this year.
This is typical of all criminal or non-criminal 'court' cases in this shit country.
Try not paying all your taxes and you'll get a bigger punishment than if you had mugged a granny.
There is no consistency, and more importantly, there hasn't been for some time, any justice.
Why do the words corruption and dictatorship come to mind?
I rest my case.

Ding Dong Fangzhuo On High
Apparently United are about to sign a young Chinese striker.
I can't wait for the exclusive Red Cafe Man United Noodles (in addition to those that attend on a regular basis),Man United Crispy Duck and Man United Prawn Crackers for grey suited execs in the South Stand.
Not to mention a range of Red Laundries in China offering a free woven logo on every third sheet cleaned. (City should get their linen done there. No clean sheets due to Seaman....couldn't resist it!)
You think I'm joking?

Tosspot Spotted In Los Angeles
Taking time to cool out I watched Graham Norton's show from Los Angeles the other night. He's OK, the usual amusing filth we all need now and again!
Unfortunately his guest was Tracy Ullman, a failed so-called comedienne who went to ply her trade in the US of A. What a loud mouthed, egocentric, self-centered, hey it's my show, cow she proved to be. Embarrassing isn't the word, especially as her daughter (former daughter) was in the audience.
It may not be politically correct (but hey, who gives a shit), but someone should have given her a right slap, then a left, then a right. Obnoxious or what! She makes Ruby Wax look like Mother Teresa (no not dead, just should be).
Why do these things bother me?

Who Gives A Shit About Rugby!
I'm sick to death of listening to all this crap about a minority sport played by thugs and watched by the middle classes and working class nob heads who only support the rugby team because they support the soccer team and hate all foreigners.
Apparently England won a world cup where there were only about half a dozen proper opponents. Why not call it the World Series.
Then we get all this London centered bullshit about a parade, showing off this worthless cup and how there has never been that many people at such an event before.
Absolute garbage. What about when United won the European Cup in 1999. Talk about Southern prejudice.
I'm also sick of all the claptrap about rugby players not abusing referees and respecting them and therefore setting a great example to soccer.
What a load of crap!
What about all the punching, stamping, gouging, head butting, fisting and sodomy that goes on. Its all a load of bollocks.
Why couldn't the Aussies have stuffed it up them!
I feel better now. Looking forward to City getting stuffed tomorrow!

The Press Are Tossers
In an article today about Roy Keane, saying that United need to buy a striker.
"United's lack of bite is partly due to injuries to playmaker Paul Scholes and Norwegian forward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has often filled the right midfield slot left vacant by David Beckham's move to Real Madrid."
Having said that they then totally contradict themselves by saying the following;
"Yet for a club with a wealth of attacking midfielders like Scholes, Solskjaer, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo and David Bellion, United have no-one else to partner Van Nistelrooy up front."
Now Solskjaer has gone from a forward to a mid-fielder in a few paragraphs. What a bunch of wassocks!
Who the hell do they think scored 25 goals in the 2001-2002 season and 15 goals last season (despite playing a lot on the right)!
One guess.
