Queue for Kewell?
Apparently Harry Kewell won't be coming to Manchester United because "He doesn't want to play second fiddle to the likes of Ryan Giggs, David Beckham and the rest."
I agree, he shouldn't. Maybe he should replace Giggs. Let's get back to two wingers and two up front, Ruud and Ole. After all they did score a ton of goals between them before the 'One up front' syndrome came into force.

He's behind you!
According to the Manchester Evening News, Ronaldinho's position is "in hole behind front man" ...painful!

Recognition
Apparently, Ronaldinho (Paris Saint Germain), one of the thousand or so players Manchester United are supposed to be buying this summer has said the following;
"Beckham may be the most talented, Juan Veron the most creative, Ruud van Nistelrooy the most effective, but no one stands out as an individual. In fact, you could
argue that a Keane, or a Scholes, or a Solskjaer are all just as important as the three I mentioned before."
I am quoting this, because for once, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is mentioned in the same context as the 'stars'. He is a top, top man and in my opinion the best all round talented individual I've seen and we have got at Manchester United.
Odd that Ronaldinho didn't mention Giggs.
It was in the papers so it must be true!

Confession time
I have a confession to make. I voted in the Eurovision song contest! I know, how sad is that. I was working on the web site using my laptop last night and had the TV on the laptop, like you do.
I think I was body-snatched by aliens for a couple of minutes during which time I voted for Turkey.
They were right of course as Turkey won. Either that or I was influenced by how they looked and the fact that their song wasn't crap.
Highlight of the evening was the United Kingdom scouse duo scoring no points, nothing, zilch, nowt. Apparently it was a backlash from the Iraq war. Cobblers, it was a crap song and they sang out of tune.

Thumbs down for States?
What are the chances of Beckham making an appearance in the forthcoming tour in the United States. An absolute certainty, despite his 'Scaphoid' fracture. There's too much money at stake. He'll be told he's fit to play even if he isn't. Who's cynical?

I told you so
Am I a prophet or what? News on the radio at 7.30am reported that a school on Merseyside had sent a kid home for having the 'Beckham Braid' look. I forecast this on Sunday. Nostradamus eat your heart out!

Don't mention the war..or art
Not far from Old Trafford and located on opposite sides of the Manchester Ship canal are the Lowry Centre and Imperial War museum. I visited them both yesterday and learnt two things.
1)I'm not the only mad bastard around judging by the 'art' on display at the Lowry Centre
2)If you want to get depressed visit the Imperial War museum.
Thought you'd like to know.

Money for old rope
Well he's at it again; yet another hair style to add to the collection. Just imagine all those hairdressers rubbing their hands with glee as you Beckham fans try the latest braid look.
Imagine all those head teachers shaking their heads in disbelief as they send them home from school.

Khan you believe it!
Apparently goalkeeper Oliver Khan (Bayern Munich)is making himself available for the Reds. Do me a favour! We'd be better off with Ghenghis Khan, at least he took no prisoners, literally.
This picture sums him up.
He couldn't catch a bleeding cold.
Another example of the 'Emperors new clothes'. (Its a Hans Christian Andersen story about the masses seeing something great about a person/thing when in fact there is nothing there.)
If you've never heard of it or are just interested read the fable here.

Knee up Wesley Brown
He's done it again! Ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Missed the 1999-2000 season through a similar injury. We'll have to rename him 'Lucky'. This could be a case of the 'body snatchers' at it again. They can't get used to the human form-just like the Emil Heskey case.

We've got our trophy back!
What a great day Sunday was. Manchester United are crowned Champions again, Liverpool fail to get into the Champions League and West Ham are relegated...fantastic.
But did you see the presentation after the game on Sky TV (We didn't get tickets for this one). What's going on in this country. All I could see was 'officialdom' cajoling, guiding and even tugging the United players and even SAF (Sir Alex Ferguson) so they didn't get too close to Manchester United fans in the ground.
The most pathetic moment was the (I assume) Police Inspector with his yellow coat and special official 'stick' meandering about trying to look important.
Great Britain? Cobblers. At least we can still break wind without asking permission.

Beckham's missus in top 20
The Daily Mirror says that Victoria Beckham has been voted one of the worst celebrities in a recent survey. I don't know what the criteria was but its obviously a load of crap because Sir Alex (I don't give a toss) Ferguson and Bernard (I don't give a toss) Manning were in the list.
I reckon 'Posh' is all right. Just needs a bit more meat on her.
Having said that it can't be all bad as Liam (I'm a tosser) Gallacher is in it. If it's in the paper it must be true.

Does Ole not exist!
Channel 4 TV programme last night hosted by Jonathan Pearce with Brian Robson (ex Manchester United player) as a guest. They compared the goals United and Arse (Arsenal) have scored this season. The top 4 for United are shown and named on screen; namely, van Nistelrooy, Scholes, Giggs and Solskjaer.
Robson talks about Manchester United's greater scoring potential (my words, not his. He doesn't use words like that) and repeats the names apart from Ole. Is the bloke stupid, can't he remember more than three words. Maybe he has difficulty in pronouncing 'Solskjaer'...oooh its not english I don't like the look of that!
Perhaps if Ole changed his name by deed poll to 'Olly Solshire' (be safe and keep it at two words) he might get more of a mention.
You've probably guessed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is my favorite player with Manchester United!

The most famous athlete in the world (except in the USA)
This was the headline in 'USA today' with a story about how famous David Beckham is in the world, apart from the USA, for the moment.
The Americans are reknowned for their insularity but I'm sure they will know more about 'Becks' after the Manchester United tour this summer. It'll be pushed down their throats that much they'll give in.
