Welcome To The UK Police State
Here's a definition from the Penguin English dictionary;
Police state n a country or state characterized by repressive governmental control of political, economic and social life, ususally enforced by secret police.
Well that pretty much describes the country we live in, doesn't it?
United V Glasgow Rangers, Tuesday November 4th. Turn up to meet our mates at the Quadrant pub before the match. Its shut. So are about 50 other pubs in the city centre and near Old Trafford.
Why?
So that the majority of folk can't enjoy a couple beers with their friends....oh...and so that the police may have feck all to do.
After all we don't want them to do what they're paid to do and enforce the law against a few drunken scottish fans do we!
[By the way we found an offy open 15 minutes walk away; called 'Booze R Us'..great name and dead cheap.]
Come the revolution! (Or I leave the country, whichever is the sooner).
